I LOVED LOVED LOVED it when Ethan asked Kait if she would… (not gonna say because it is a huge spoiler). Their common goal brought them together in the end. I liked the whole opposites attract theme between the two of them and their nearly instant chemistry – despite running in different social circles and not having a whole lot in common. I found the way the author threw Kait and Ethan together to be unique. However, I still enjoyed this story as a young-adult read and I focused more on the budding romance between Kait and Ethan than the mystery aspects of alleged murderers and the overdose deaths of teen girls.

And the blurb had me intrigued… I mean, how could a YA novel featuring a loner who goes funeral crashing, of all things, NOT be interesting? I know there are multiple covers for this book, (five editions that I could find), but the one above grabbed my attention because it reminded me of something I would’ve worn when I was her age, (actually I still wear converse and fishnets – just not together). I fell in love with the cover (the one above featuring a young girl wearing fishnets and converse sneakers with the doodles in the background).
